BIO
Heltah Skeltah debuted on Smif-N-Wessun’s album Dah Shinin’ in 1995. They released their debut album in 1996, titled Nocturnal, which sold over 250,000 copies in the U.S. and has been named an underground classic.
Heltah Skeltah released a group album with Boot Camp Clik in 1997, titled For The People, followed by the duo’s sophomore album in 1998, titled Magnum Force.
After a solo venture, Big Rock was recording again in 2005 with Boot Camp Clik, featuring on Sean Price’s album Monkey Barz and Smif-N-Wessun’s album Reloaded. The Boot Camp Clik released their third group album in 2006, titled The Last Stand.
In 2008, Heltah Skeltah recorded their third album, D.I.R.T., which stands for Da Incredible Rap Team. Rock stayed busy with multiple solo projects and released an album in 2010, titled Rockin’ Out West, reflecting his time spent in Los Angeles and featuring Kurupt, Ras Kass, Nate Dogg, and more.
Big Rock recently signed to management with Pharoahe Monch's indie label/management company W.A.R. Media and is expected to release Half MAN Half a Monsta in fall of 2013 on DuckDownMusic.
In 2015, he released the long anticipated Rockness Monsta's memorial tribute to Sean Price, named "Da Streets Want Blood".
